Don’t worry, I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth…
Still settling in, so mostly doing some dinky stuff on my own, although I did one that was a lot of fun: Bear Makers. One part Bear Complexes, one part Man Makers.
5 rounds of:
Coach Rut’s DB Bear Complex (5 db deadlifts, 5 db hang power cleans, 5 db push press/jerk)
5 Man Makers (db’s in hand, drop to a pushup, db row, hop up and burpee › press)
took about a 30sec rest between rounds.
Also, I got to CF Leander for a workout at their box last week; warmup, 500m max row, then 21-15-9 115# push jerks & 50 squats (11:59). That was a two days after the CF Cedar Park quad killer, so my squats were super slow.
And yesterday morning I went to a CF Leader Outdoor workout, which was: warmup, an 8min AMRAP of 15 baskets, 10 squat jumps, 5 hspu/variation (I got 4 rounds + the baskets). Then, we did a quick circuit of a 400m (or so) run, jump rope, ball slams, burpees, press. Wasn’t so bad.
So, I’m just trying to stay active while I figure out what’s going on… I’ll probably sign up for a month at CF Leander while I figure out how to get my own thing going.

At a bit of a loss nutritionally… I’m at 218 today, and recently I’ve seriously lowered my nut intake, focused on more protein, although I dropped the whey (too gastrointestinally painful). I think I’m stronger, and continuing to get stronger, but it’s the bf% that I want to drop, and from what I’ve read/heard/seen, strength training w/ a low-carb diet is the way to go. No idea what’s up with me, then.
Fuck.
