Hey Adam,
I voted for you - you got so close!! Oh well, you did a lot of good for a lot of people with your recipe. I plan to try it soon! (Maybe this weekend).
Glad more people are turning on to this way of life. I wish everyone more health!
Halelly

PS I have a separate Twitter handle for my business and personal life. I use my 'personal' handle on MDA. So you won't see 'Halelly' there.

Thanks, Sarah - I would have loved to have given more notice, but I didn't know I was in the Finals until right when I posted this. I wrote the post, hoping, knowing it would be announced today, and once the contest was up, I popped the link into place and published it. Ah well; I only missed it by four votes. :-(

I haven't used "coconut flour", per se, but I have ground the shredded coconut down to the point of powdery-ness, and while the taste stays the same, the mouth-feel is definitely different. If that's an issue for Dave, then it should make a difference, for sure.

Hey Adam,
I wish I had known about this yesterday! I got an email from my friend Jana about it today and the voting is over. I totally would have voted for you!

I actually was still hungry after lunch, and was distracted from my work because of the videos, so I decided to give your's a try! It is really awesome and I love that it is grain-free.

Dave, my hubby, pretty much doesn't shredded coconut, at all. So he made a face. I thought they were really good, but already my mind was churning with some new ways to make them. Like I was wondering if you have made them with coconut flour instead of shredded coconut? Dave doesn't mind coconut flavor so much as the texture of the coconut in his mouth. I may give it a go with some coconut flour and almond meal and may play around with the quantities.

Hey, if you enter another one of Mark's contests, please give me some notice and I may do a blog post about your recipe on my blog. Would love to help spread the word.

thanks!
