Yes, fear does hinder a lot of things. More often than not, it causes people to turn back even before taking the first step. I agree, it is admirable when someone keeps his values and sense of self even in the face of his greatest fears. 

If only more people recognize that fear is a poison that can cripple judgment or cause one to act irrationally — and taking control of it gives room for growth — they’ll be able to live life more. :-)</description>
